Best of the Blog

Normally the F Minus blog is rubbish. However there were a few events that were actually sort of interesting:

Saddest Book Ever
I inadvertantly caused an internet sensation after I innocently took a picture of a book I found and called it the Saddest Book Ever. My blog showed up on, and several news outlets picked up on it from there, including this dork on Good Morning America. Of course, nobody wants to do a story about my books.

Tea-Time Clown Tattoo
I was blown away by the news that someone got a tattoo of a character from F Minus. Then I found out it happened again. There may even be a third in the works. Tea-time clown is sweeping the tattooed nation!

Hate Mail Podcast
This was the first and only animated podcast I've done. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work. I'd like to do another one eventually.

Tom Gammill Lesson
I was lucky enough to appear in writer and cartoonist Tom Gammill's video lessons, wherein I teach him the dangers of racial profiling.

F Minus in Pearls Before Swine
Cartoonist Stephan Pastis gave F Minus a little shout-out in his comic strip Pearls Before Swine.

Sledge Time
A video I made of me hitting stuff with a sledge hammer. Yep, this made the "Best Of".

The End of Big Hat Barry
In 2008 there seemed to be a lot of emotion and commotion about cartoonists killing off their characters. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and kill off one of my beloved characters, Big Hat Barry. Unfortunately, most people didn't remember him from the one comic he had appeared in.
Nevertheless, as
the story unfolded, the controversy grew, and was even mentioned in an article in Editor & Publisher.
the end, I don't think any of us will forget the saga of Big Hat Bob. I mean Barry... Burt?

My Favorite Fight Scenes
Only because I put a lot of thought into it. It would be a little different if I remade the list today, but now I'm tired.

First Book Signing
A recap of my first book signing at Changing Hands Bookstore.

Reubens Weekend
Blog from my first trip to the National Cartoonists Society Reuben Awards in 2007, back when I was a bright-eyed newcomer full of hopes and dreams. Of course now I'm old and bitter. That didn't take long!
